Christies Beach – Contemporary

While these townhouses at Christies Beach are situated several streets back from the esplanade, they are on the high side of the road, which means they have a clear view of the ocean.

Knowing this, I designed the townhouses to sit as far back and as high as possible to capitalize on the magnificent view.

While many Architects, Draftsmen and Building Designers would have put a small balcony at the front, expecting the owners to BBQ and entertain in the rear yard while they stare into colorbond fences, I have designed the dwellings to have a large balcony with a gas BBQ line and stackable sliding doors. Which when opened make the lounge, dining, kitchen and balcony a magnificent open plan entertainment area with a million dollar ocean view.
