Morphett Vale – Modern
Morphett Vale – Modern
This modern house in Morphett Vale was designed to be subdivided on a 278 square meter block of land, with an awkward angle.
So how do you fit a 3 bedroom home with an ensuite on such a small block of land?
Do not design a square house to fit into an angled hole….
If I designed a square house to fit on this angled block, it would have only been a boring two bed room home, with a lot of wasted space.
By following the blocks angles, I was able to use up as much land as possible, incorporating both front and rear courtyards into the design aspect, so that the entire development worked as one.
Making sure that the landscaping and fencing made each courtyard feel larger and more usable.
As a bonus the angled lounge/dining room wall and fence have created a “WOW” factor that square ninety degree angled walls can never achieve.
